Let's make fresh pasta! Hand made pasta is of great satisfaction. Once you have tried your own, it will be difficult to buy again fresh pasta from a supermarket! We'll start the lesson with an introduction on the types of flour and their use; then we'll prepare the dough from scratch; knead it by hand; roll it and cut to the desired shape by hand or pasta machine. To complete the dish, two mouthwatering sauces to go with. Your cooking course will be tailored on your needs and desires, we'll be in touch with you with two menu proposals based on your taste and your cooking skills. Some examples of fresh pasta:
"Tagliatelle" (egg noodles), "farfalle"(bow tie) pasta (beginners)
Filled pasta: ravioli with different fillings, lasagne, cannelloni (intermediate)
Coloured pasta: straw and hay (spinach and natural pasta), black pasta (sepia ink), red tomato pasta (beginners/intermediate)
Aromatic herbs pasta: enriched with parsley or dill (intermediate/advance)
Double coloured pasta (intermediate/advanced)
Hand shaped pasta: "trofie", "orecchiette", "fusi istriani" (beginners/internediate)
We'll give you a list of tool and pans needed and a list of ingredients for the recipes. If you prefer we can do the food shopping for you and ingredients will be payable at cost on the day of the lesson.
